A Welcome from the School Principal

My school is dedicated to nurturing your child’s physical, emotional and artistic growth.

I focus on improving your child’s coordination, poise, grace, flexibility and strength, but most importantly I focus on improving their self- confidence, self-discipline and self-respect.

I provide a genuine, enthusiastic and positive interest in your child’s progression, both inside and outside the dance studio.

I have a strong belief that encouragement is key to instilling confidence in my dancers.

Whether your child would like to dance competitively or simply for the enjoyment of it, I am confident that I can help them to achieve their goals and will support them every step of the way.

“Dance with your heart, and your feet will follow”

About JK Ballet

Judith Keyes School of Ballet was established in 2015 by our Ballet School Principal, Judith Keyes.

We have created a space in which our students can:  connect with fellow students allowing them to form friendships, become  inspired   allowing them to develop a passion and love of dance & to  grow both emotionally & within their dancing   as they progress through the school.

Our dance school is unique as we provide classes where children can progress from walking age right through to pre-professional level meaning seamless progression through the school, regardless of level.

At JK Ballet, Classical Ballet is taught through the Associated Board of Dance (A.B.D.) Syllabus where we have a 100% pass rate at examination level.

We also offer instruction for those who do not wish to take exams and would like to focus on the physical fitness, friendship & fun side of dance.

About our Teaching Faculty

Classes in JK Ballet are taught by our School Principal, Miss Judith.

Miss Judith studied Ballet with the Caroline Robinson School of Ballet & has a history of achieving excellent examination results in both graded and vocational Ballet examinations under the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) syllabus, regularly achieving marks such as 99% and higher which is almost unheard of in ballet examinations.

In addition to undertaking graded examinations, Miss Judith also took part in many associate programmes including those facilitated by Ballet Ireland & High Points Youth Ballet Company.

Miss Judith naturally progressed to achieving her Teaching Examination with Associated Board of Dance, allowing her to enter students into ballet examinations. Her students achieve great success and the school has a 100% pass rate to date at examination level, with most children achieving Merit & Distinction (highest possible grades).  A cohort of children in the school excelled in their examinations in 2023 and were nominated by the examiner to dance at the prestigious A.B.D. Scholarships in Birmingham.

She has experienced dealing with a diverse range of ages  and abilities within our ballet school and goes above and beyond to ensure individual success of each and every dancer that passes through the school, regardless of personal goal.

Miss Judith is also an extremely accomplished Irish Dancer and teacher of 'Judith Keyes School of Irish Dance'. She has won multiple Northern Ireland & Ulster dance championship titles in both solo & teamwork. She adjudicates regularly and her students compete at national level achieving great success. Many of the children would participate in both dance disciplines as participating in both is mutually beneficial.

Miss Judith is also extremely passionate about fitness and is a Level 2 Group Exercise Coach and Level 3 Personal Trainer, which only adds to the value of what she can offer the dancers within her school in terms of her overall knowledge and expertise of health and fitness.
