Baby Ballet at JK Ballet

What is it?

Baby Ballet is a gentle and joyful introduction to the world of ballet, designed especially for younger children. Over time, children who attend regularly show wonderful progress in both their dancing skills and their confidence.

Who is it suitable for?

Baby Ballet is perfect for children who are confidently walking up until pre-school age. It’s an ideal fun and engaging Saturday morning activity for little ones, with the support of a parent or guardian.

Can a parent attend?

Yes — Baby Ballet is a parent-led programme, meaning a parent must attend. This provides children with a sense of security as they explore movement, while also allowing parents to actively support their child’s first steps into ballet. It’s a special bonding experience and a wonderful way to introduce your child to dance.

Can siblings or partners come too?

For health and safety, we maintain a 1 adult : 1 child ratio. Another adult (such as a partner) is very welcome to attend instead of you on another week, but we cannot accommodate multiple adults at once.
We can accommodate one additional child under six months for feeding purposes. This child must remain in a baby carrier or car seat throughout the class.

What does the class include?

Our highly experienced and enthusiastic teacher delivers a programme designed specifically for this age group. The class develops coordination, rhythm, muscle tone, and confidence, while encouraging children to express their thoughts and feelings through movement.

Baby Ballet includes:

Fun, engaging weekly classes with a fully qualified and insured teacher
A weekly reward system to motivate and encourage children
Opportunities for children and parents to socialise and make friends
The chance to take part in recitals and seasonal events
A clear progression pathway into higher levels of ballet as your child grows

Uniform

Yes, there is a regulation uniform, available to order directly through the school. Uniform is expected once your child has completed their trial lesson.

Booking Information

Booking is essential.
You may book a one-off trial lesson. If your child enjoys the class, we will contact you with details on how to confirm their place for the rest of the term.
Places are in high demand, and we often operate a waiting list. However, spaces do become available regularly, and we may add extra classes where there is sufficient demand — so we strongly encourage you to join the list.
